How Much Does Dog Daycare Cost in Montreal? (2026 Prices)

Open daycare hall with several dogs playing near a modern black staircase and slatted wood walls.

Let's give you the honest number right at the top. In 2026, dog daycare in Montreal usually runs between $35 and $55 a day, depending on whether your dog stays a half day or a full one. Packages can pull that well below the drop-in rate. At ATD Clubhouse, Montreal's upscale all-in-one dog centre, half days start at $35, full days at $55, and our unlimited plans come out to as little as $38.50 a day. We're going to break down every price, tell you what's actually included, and show you the smart ways Montreal dog parents trim the cost.

What actually drives the price of dog daycare

When you compare daycares around Montreal, you're not really comparing prices. You're comparing what a whole day looks like for your dog. Four things explain most of the gap between one place and the next.

  • Hours of supervision. A full day at the Clubhouse covers up to eleven and a half hours, 7:30 AM to 7 PM. That brackets almost any work schedule, with no midday dog-walker patchwork to coordinate.
  • Group size and matching. Bargain daycare often means one big mixed group, everybody in together. We run small playgroups matched by size and temperament, so a 9-pound senior never has to hold his own against a teenage Lab.
  • Screening. Every single dog in the room has passed an evaluation. Yes, that costs us something, and it's exactly what keeps the room calm and safe.
  • Structure. A good day isn't eleven hours of chaos. It's play, then rest, then real human attention, in that rhythm, all day long.

A daycare that charges less by cutting one of these corners isn't actually cheaper. You just end up paying for it in a different currency.

How packages bring your per-day cost down

Half-day and full-day passes

If your dog comes once or twice a week, the drop-in rate is the easy call: from $35 for a half day, $55 for a full one. Coming more often than that? The 10-day and 20-day packages on our half-day daycare and full-day daycare pages lower the per-visit cost, and they save you the checkout shuffle every single morning.

Tiny dogs get their own program

A dog under 10 pounds is not just a small big dog, and we treat them like the distinct little characters they are. Fattoush's Tiny Dog Special gives toy breeds calm, fully supervised full days with playmates their own size. It's $35 as a drop-in, or you can grab the 8-day ($238) and 12-day ($357) packages that work out to $29.75 a day.

Monthly and Yearly Unlimited: the regulars' deal

This is where the math gets fun. The Monthly Unlimited package is $880 (regular $1,100) for up to 20 full weekdays, roughly $44 a day, plus 5% off everything in our boutique. The Yearly Unlimited package is $9,240 (regular $13,200) for up to 240 weekdays a year. Use all 240 and you're down to $38.50 a day, a full 30% below the drop-in rate, with 10% off the boutique on top. Our rule of thumb: if your dog joins us three days a week or more, unlimited almost always wins.

The $25 evaluation: the best money you'll spend

Every new dog at the Clubhouse starts with a $25 evaluation, no exceptions, and yes, that includes the heartbreakingly cute ones. Our team gets to know your dog's socialization, behaviour and temperament before their first full day, so we can drop them into the right playgroup from the very start. Honestly, it's the single biggest reason the floor stays so relaxed. When you're shopping daycares around town, treat a mandatory evaluation as a green flag, because it means every other dog your pup meets got screened too. Book it online and we'll take it from there.

Other dog care costs worth budgeting for

A few extras Montreal dog parents like to pair with daycare:

  • Dog transportation. No time for drop-off? Our pick-up and drop-off service starts at $17.50 one way.
  • Grooming on a daycare day. Your dog can visit our grooming team while they're already here. A bath starts at $50, a Bath & Tidy at $75, and a full groom from $100. Head groomer Nancy brings 16 years of experience to the table, or rather, to the tub.
  • Multi-service packages. Mixing daycare with boarding, grooming or training? Ask us about a custom multi-service package and bundle the whole routine into one tidy plan.

So, is daycare worth it in Montreal?

Run the numbers against the alternative. A midday walker covers thirty minutes. Daycare covers the whole day. What you're really buying is a dog who spent the day playing, resting, and being looked after by people who actually know him, and who comes home happy and pleasantly tired instead of bored and wired. For most Montreal dogs who genuinely like other dogs, $35 to $55 a day is some of the best money in the budget. Maïka, our three-legged Chief Dog Officer, would tell you the same if she could (she keeps an eye on every new arrival, three legs and all), and Max, our Boston terrier mascot, has yet to argue.
