Hi everyone! It’s Catherine, here to share my story with Max and explain why he deserves a spot on our logo.

As many of you know, I’ve been working with dogs for over 10 years, and during that time, I’ve met and cared for countless amazing dogs. One of those special dogs is Max, the Boston Terrier. Max stole my heart from the start—a fearless puppy with a rock-hard, stubborn head. Over the years, my love for Max has grown immensely, and I often joke that his wonderful mom, Kirsten, and I share custody because he spends so much time with us. He’s truly one of a kind and impossible not to love.

Since Max spends so much time with my family and me, we were a little unsure how he would react when we decided to adopt Maika, our Mexican princess, and bring her back to Canada. (Don’t worry, you can read all about that adventure in Maika’s section!) Max can get a bit jealous, and this was Maika’s first experience around new dogs. It wasn’t love at first sight—they kept their distance, feeling each other out. But it didn’t take long for them to form an unbreakable bond. Now, two years later, they’re inseparable. Not only do I share Max with his mom, but now with his new “sister,” Maika.

All this to say, the joy and love a dog can bring into your life are irreplaceable. Max has brought that joy to me, my family, and Maika countless times. That’s why he deserves to be right there with Maika in this project.
